You have 30 days from the day your order arrives to request a return. We've found this gives most people enough time to live with their mat — to set it on the counter, test it against real spills, and decide whether it belongs in your kitchen.

Email us at returns@diatmous.com with your order number and a sentence or two about why you're returning. Within one business day we'll send you a return authorization with the address to ship to.

Please don't send anything back before you've received that confirmation — unauthorized returns may be refused at the door.

Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. The buyer arranges and pays for shipping the product back to us at the address we provide.

We recommend a tracked, insured carrier — once a parcel leaves your hands we can't take responsibility for what happens in transit. Pack the mat in its original box if you still have it.

Once we receive your return and confirm it's in eligible condition, we issue a full refund to your original payment method within 3 business days.

Depending on your bank, it can take another 5–7 days for the credit to actually appear on your statement.

Returned items must be unused, unwashed, and in their original packaging. Mats that have absorbed water, been placed in the dishwasher, or show signs of countertop wear aren't eligible for refund.

We trust you'll be fair with us, and we'll be fair with you.

The following are not eligible for refund or exchange under any circumstances:

· Orders requested after the 30-day window has closed
· Items returned without prior authorization
· Mats showing signs of use, washing, or wear
· Gift cards and items marked Final Sale
· The One Tree Planted donation portion of your order — the tree is already in the ground
